QOC to organise Futsal Championship on June 19
DOHA, 16 May 2011- The Sport For All Committee at Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) will organise the 2011 edition of QOC Futsal Championship on June 19.
The organizing committee has issued the governing rules and regulations to be applied during the event.

Kuala Lumpur: AFC has announced the draw mechanics for the AFC Futsal Club Championship Qatar 2011. The draw for the second edition of the championship, which will be played from June 26 to July 1, 2011, is scheduled for 2000 hours local time on 19 March in host city Doha.
The clubs in the draw are: Al Rayyan (Qatar; hosts), Shahid Mansouri Oarchak (Iran), Nagoya Oceans (Japan), GH Bank RBAC (Thailand), Al Sadaka (Lebanon), Zhejiang Dragon Futsal Club (China), and Ardus (Uzbekistan).
These seven outfits will be joined by either Al Karkh Sport Club (Iraq) or Harimau Rawa (Indonesia) after a play-off between the two on June 22.
The eight-team Finals will begin four days later with the first three days reserved for group matches. The semi-finals will be played on June 30 while the final will be played on July 1.In the Finals, eight teams will be divided into two groups of four and top teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.Iran champions Foolad Mahan Sepahan won the inaugural edition of the championship by beating Qatar’s Al Sadd 5-2 in the final.
